Chasiv Yar death toll reaches 35 – Emergency Service

The death toll from a Russian missile strike on an apartment building in the town of Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region, reached 35 on Tuesday.

This was announced by the State Emergency Service’s main department in the Donetsk region, Ukrinform reports.

“As of 11:00, the bodies of 35 dead people, including a child (9-year-old boy), were found and pulled from the rubble of a five-storey apartment building destroyed by shelling in Chasiv Yar. Nine people were rescued from the rubble. The dismantling of more than 320 tonnes of destroyed building components was carried out," the report reads.

Rescue works are ongoing.

As reported by Ukrinform, in the evening of July 9, Russian invaders hit a five-storey apartment building in Donetsk region’s Chasiv Yar with the Uragan MLRS. Two entrances to the building were completely destroyed.
