Death toll in missile strike on Chasiv Yar rises to 30

The death toll in missile strike launched by Russian troops on Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region, has risen to 30 people.

"Rescuers removed nine injured and 30 killed people from the rubble. The officers of the State Emergency Service cleared away 65% of the rubble, 170 tonnes of destroyed elements of the building. The works are ongoing," Kyrylo Tymoshenko, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, posted on Telegram.

Tymoshenko specified that 56 rescuers and nine equipment units were involved in the works. In addition, two loaders, two mobile cranes, and a motor grader work on site. Two ambulances are on duty on site.

As reported, on the evening of July 9, Russian invaders struck a 5-story residential building in the town of Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region, by Uragan missiles. Two entrances to the house were completely destroyed.

Earlier it was reported that the bodies of 26 killed people had been found and 9 people had been rescued from the rubble.
