Nineteen civilians reported killed in Russia’s missile attack on Chasiv Yar

The death toll in Russia’s missile attack on the city of Chasiv Yar, Donetsk Region, has increased to 19.

The relevant statement was made by the Main Department of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service in Donetsk Region on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“One more body has been recovered from under the rubble of a 5-storey apartment block destroyed in the missile strike on Chasiv Yar,” the report states.

Hence, a total of 19 civilians have been found dead so far. Eight people were rescued from under the rubble. Rescuers dismantled about 138 tonnes of destroyed structures. Rescue works are underway.

A reminder that, in the evening of July 9, 2022, Russian missiles hit a 5-storey apartment block in Chasiv Yar, Donetsk Region. Two entrances were destroyed completely.
