Russia has committed 22,500 war crimes in Ukraine - Prosecutor General's Office

Since the full-scale invasion, Russia has committed more than 22,500 war crimes and crimes of aggression against Ukraine.

This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

According to the latest data, Russian aggressors committed 22,504 crimes of aggression and war crimes. Of them, 21,677 are related to violations of the laws and customs of war, 73 – to planning, preparing, initiating, or waging war, 21 – to propaganda of war, and 733 other crimes.

Also, 10,922 crimes against national security were recorded. Of them, 7,606 are related to encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine’s borders, 1,283 – to treason, 1,534 – to collaboration with the enemy, 87 – to assistance to the aggressor power, 64 – to sabotage, and 348 other crimes.

Almost a thousand Ukrainian children were affected by Russian aggression, of whom 347 were killed and 648 were injured.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Dunja Mijatović published a memorandum on the consequences of the war in Ukraine for human rights.
