Russia's war in Ukraine affects over 994 children

At least 347 children have been killed and 647 injured in Ukraine since the Russian invasion started in late February.

The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office said this in a Telegram post, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"More than 994 children have been affected in Ukraine as a result of Russia's all-out armed aggression in our state. As of the morning of July 9, 2022, the official number of child victims over the past day has not changed - 347. The number of those injured has increased to over 647," the report said.

Currently, most casualties were recorded in Donetsk Region (348), Kharkiv Region (186), Kyiv Region (116), Chernihiv Region (68), Luhansk Region (61), Mykolaiv Region (53), Kherson Region (52), Zaporizhzhia Region (31).

A total of 2,116 educational institutions were damaged across Ukraine as a result of Russia's daily air and artillery strikes, and 216 of them were destroyed completely.
