More civilians killed and wounded as enemy shells Kharkiv, surrounding areas

Overnight and on Wednesday morning, Russian troops were firing on Kharkiv region. At least three were wounded in the regional center, while the exact number of dead and wounded across the region is yet to be verified.

This was announced on Telegram by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, Ukrinform reports.

"Throughout the night, Russian occupiers continued to terrorize the city of Kharkiv and other settlements across the region. Unfortunately, a number of civilians were killed. In Kharkiv, Slobidsky and Industrial districts were hit by overnight shelling. A farm and some industrial facilities sustained damage; several large-scale fires broke out. In the morning, the shelling of the Nemyshlyany district of Kharkiv continued. Three were injured, according to tentative reports. The information is being clarified," Syniehubov said.

Apartment blocks and outbuildings in Chuhuiv were destroyed. Preliminary reports say two people were killed and another two injured. The report is also being verified.

An apartment block was damaged in the village of Zolochiv, Bohodukhiv district, where a fire broke out. So far, one body was retrieved from under the rubble. As the rescue effort is underway, it is likely that two more people could remain trapped under the ruins, said the administration chief.

Last night, a person was injured in the Russian shelling in Shevchenkove, Kupyansk district.

At the line of contact, the enemy keeps firing barrel and jet artillery, conducting air reconnaissance missions in Kharkiv direction. In the area of ​​Izium, the enemy continues the assault operation toward Sloviansk.

As reported earlier, on June 21, 15 people were killed and at least 18 were injured in enemy shelling across Kharkiv region.
