Russian missile strike on Sumy region kills four

Enemy forces launched a missile strike on the Sad merged territorial community in the Sumy region on the night of June 16, killing four people and injuring at least six.

Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Four people were killed and at least six were injured. This is the explosion that everyone heard in half of the Sumy district and in the regional center," the statement said.

According to him, at around 05:00, the Russians launched a missile strike on the Krasnopillia community. Then they opened fire from their territory, using mortars. A total of 26 explosions were recorded.

Information about casualties and additional damage to the infrastructure is being clarified.
