Luhansk region: Ukrainian troops restrain enemy from three sides

The Armed Forces of Ukraine restrain the enemy from three sides at once, defend Sievierodonetsk, and prevent Russians from advancing to Lysychansk.

"It's getting harder, but our troops restrain the enemy from three sides at once. However, the Russians are close, so the population suffers and houses are destroyed. In particular, the invaders fired on buildings near the former Donsoda plant and several houses nearby. The situation is similar in the area of a glass factory. At least eight houses were affected in the town on June 14. Fourteen houses were destroyed in Hirske,” Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai posted on Facebook.

In Sievierodonetsk, the enemy once again hit the Azot plant. In particular, the checkpoint of the enterprise was damaged. High-rise blocks located closer to the chemical giant are being destroyed. The enemy is weaker in street battles, so it opens artillery fire, ruining houses.

Over the past two days, six residents of Lysychansk and two people from Zolote were hospitalized in other regions of the country. Surrounding villages suffered serious damages, the head of Luhansk region noted. Over the past day, the authorities managed to record six destroyed houses in Nyrkove, four – in Mykolayivka, three – in Viktorivka.

Airstrikes were launched on Bila Hora, Ustynivka, and Metiolkino. The Russian army had an unsuccessful offensive near Mykolayivka and Zolote-3.

On February 24, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops shell and destroy key infrastructure, massively fire on residential areas of Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages using artillery, MLRS, aviation bombs, and ballistic missiles.
