Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile forces hit 500 enemy air targets

The anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have shot down 500 enemy air targets since the Russian invasion started.

The relevant statement was made by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“On June 10, 2022, the anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the 500th air target. It was Russia’s another Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle. We expected something bigger, but rashists’ planes now rarely enter the area controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the report states.

As the Russian invasion started, the Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile forces destroyed all kinds of air targets, such as planes, helicopters, cruise missiles, UAVs, and sometimes even field artillery missiles.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile units have shot down two Orlan-10 UAVs. Two more UAVs were destroyed by the anti-aircraft defense units of the Land Forces.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s attack aircrafts traditionally launched air and missile strikes on the enemy’s groups of military equipment, positions and logistic routes, having destroyed at least five armored fighting vehicles and several dozens of Russian occupiers over the past day.
