Russian troops shell Sumy Region with artillery systems, leaving houses on fire

This morning Russian troops have shelled the city of Seredyna-Buda, Sumy Region, with mortar and artillery systems.

The relevant statement was made by Sumy Regional Military Administration Head Dmytro Zhyvytskyi on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The shelling started at about 05:00 a.m. Seven mortar projectiles were followed by artillery fire,” Zhyvytskyi wrote.

At least six detached houses, household building and garage are now on fire. A power transmission line was also damaged. The damage caused is yet to be reported.

According to the preliminary data, there are no casualties among civilians.

A reminder that Russian troops continue assault operations in Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk Region. Hostilities are underway.
