Russian troops have opened fire on border areas in Chernihiv Region and Sumy Region 10 times over the past day.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Rashists fired at Chernihiv Region’s Novhorod-Siverskyi District nine times. Border guards counted 33 Russian shell bursts,” the report states.

Five more Russian mortar shells exploded on the outskirts of Shostka District, Sumy Region.
