Russians fire missiles at military facility in Lviv region near border with Poland

In addition to Lviv, explosions were heard in Novoyavorivsk, Lviv region, overnight Friday. According to tentative reports, the enemy hit a military infrastructure facility in Yavoriv district.

Novoyavorivsk Mayor Volodymyr Matseliukh said the explosions had been reported in town, Ukrinform reports.

"Residents of the city and villages of the Novoyavorivsk community, there are explosions reported across our territory, again. Now I can't say exactly where this happened, but the explosions are being reported," Matseliukh said. He urged residents not to leave shelters and wait for official updates.

The head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi vowed to publish a report as soon as possible. For now, he urged citizens to “not film, photograph, or spread speculative reports from unverified Telegram channels and groups."

He later added that the enemy had once again hit Ukraine’s military infrastructure in Lviv region’s Yavoriv district, almost on the border with Poland.

Meanwhile, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi wrote on Telegram: "There are no confirmed reports of the missiles hitting the city. Let's thank those who protect our sky to this end."

He also promised to provide a more detailed followup Tuesday morning.

As reported earlier, explosions were heard in Lviv overnight Tuesday.
