Canada to provide NLAW and other anti-tank weapons to Ukraine – Trudeau

Canada will provide NLAW and other anti-tank weapons to Ukraine, as well as fund demining efforts within the areas liberated from Russian invaders.

The relevant statement was made by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We will provide everything needed and fund demining efforts,” Trudeau said.

Trudeau also announced his intention to temporarily remove trade tariffs on Ukrainian imports for a period of one year and that Canada will be imposing new sanctions against Russian oligarchs and close associates of the Russian regime.

A reminder that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau paid a working visit to Kyiv on May 8, 2022. Before a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Trudeau also visited Irpin, Kyiv Region.
