Russian plane bombs school with 90 people hiding in basement

In Luhansk region, the Russians dropped an air bomb on a school in the village of Belohorivka (outside the town of Lysychansk), where 90 people had been sheltering in the basement.

This was reported on Telegram by the press service of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform reports.

“Ruscists dropped an air bomb on a school where almost all locals were sheltering - all those who didn’t make it to evacuate. After a local club was struck, the school basement remained the only shelter, but the Russians took this chance away, too,” the report says.

The Regional State Administration noted that about 30 people had already been rescued from under the rubble. The rescue operation continues.

In Belohorivka, constant firefights have been going on for the last week as Russian troops are attempting to penetrate Ukraine’s defenses in the area.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, two children, 11 and 14, were killed by Russian rockets, launched by Grad MLR systems, in Pryvillia, Luhansk region.

Two more underage girls and an elderly woman were injured in the attack.
