Russians shelled 21 settlements in Donbas over past day. Casualties reported

The Russian military shelled 21 settlements in Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the past 24 hours, killing two people and injuring three more, including a child.

“Over the past 24 hours, 21 settlements came under enemy fire: Mariupol, Avdiivka, Mykolayivka, Lyman, Siversk, Pryvillya, Toretsk, Lastochkine, Rayhorodok, Novoselivka, Velyka Novosilka, Shandryholove, Vremivka, Tetianivka, Solovyove (Donetsk region), Sievierodonetsk, Rubizhne, Popasna, Lysychansk, Hirske, Zolote, Novodruzhesk (Luhansk region),” the Joint Forces Operation posted on Facebook.

It is noted that air strikes and artillery shelling of Russian troops caused significant destruction and damage to about 35 residential buildings. Casualties among the civilian population were reported.

Repeated enemy shelling of Shandryholove, Kramatorsk district, claimed the lives of two men. A child born in 2007 suffered numerous injuries in the shelling of Siversk, Bakhmut district. A 47-year-old woman was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds after an attack on Mykolayivka, Kramatorsk district.

“Russian Nazi troops continue to destroy civilian infrastructure in eastern Ukraine. In particular, two secondary schools in Sievierodonetsk and Pryvillia, a town hospital, a water supply well and a coke plant in Avdiivka, Lozova – Slovyansk railway tracks and other ‘military facilities’ were damaged in barbaric shelling over the past day,” the JFO informs.

As noted, the State Emergency Service units as part of the Joint Forces responded to 42 calls to help the population and eliminate the consequences of hostilities.

Rescuers put out nine fires and provided assistance to the population in 19 locations by delivering humanitarian goods, technical and drinking water.
