102 educational institutions in Ukraine completely destroyed

As a result of the Russian invasion into Ukraine, 102 educational institutions have been completely destroyed.

Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"As of today, 102 educational institutions have been completely destroyed, 1,412 institutions have been damaged," the minister wrote.

He noted that the enemy continues to fire on educational institutions.

“Yesterday it was one of the schools in Lysychansk. At that moment, 23 people, including frightened children, were hiding in its basement. The walls have survived - saved the lives of our citizens,” Shkarlet said.

The minister added that the statistics of the destruction of kindergartens, schools and universities in Ukraine is growing every day.

On February 24, Russia launched a new phase of its eight-year war against Ukraine – a full-scale invasion. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
