Despite two enemy strikes on Avdiyivka involving phosphorus munitions, Ukraine repulses breakthrough attempt

The invaders twice fired phosphorus munitions at Avdiyivka, Donetsk region, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine repulsed an attempt by Russian troops to penetrate their defenses in the area.

A preliminary report says a civilian was injured in the enemy strike, according to the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, Ukrinform wrote.

"The Russians hit Avdiyivka twice with phosphorus munitions! The first strike came last night in the area of ​​the coke plant, and this morning – in the city center. As a result of these attacks, several fires broke out in the city. Following the second hit, the Russians launched an air strike on Avdiyivka, aiming at an apartment block. At least one person was injured. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repulsed a Russian attempt to penetrate Ukrainian defenses in the area," the official wrote.

Kyrylenko stressed that the Armed Forces are thoroughly documenting all war crimes committed by the invaders.
