Russian invaders seize building of Kherson City Council – mayor

Russian invaders have seized a building of Kherson City Council.

The relevant statement was made by Kherson Mayor Ihor Kolykhaiev on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Tonight armed men have come to Kherson City Council. They took the keys away and replaced the security staff. I left at 07:45 p.m. – the Ukrainian flag was still flying above the mayor’s office,” Kolykhaiev wrote, having promised to provide the details later.

According to Kherson Regional Council Deputy Head Yurii Sobolevskyi, Russian occupiers are implementing Kakhovka’s scenario in Kherson.

A reminder that Russian troops are blocking humanitarian corridors and evacuation initiatives in Kherson Region. They are abducting local residents, including journalists, heads of communities, deputies, activists. In addition, Russian invaders seized a humanitarian hub in Kherson, which was established to provide aid to local residents and health institutions.
