Ukraine needs more bomb disposal experts - Interior Ministry

The Ukrainian Interior Ministry plans to initiate an increase in the number of bomb disposal experts before the government.

That's according to Ukraine's First Deputy Interior Minister Yevhenii Yenin, Ukrinform reports.

"Ukrainian State Emergency Service units are actively demining the territory. Every day our rescuers dispose of about 5,000 unexploded ordnance and aerial bombs. We are stepping up this activity and plan to initiate an increase in the number of bomb disposal experts before the Government of Ukraine. This will ensure the maximum acceleration of work to dispose of all ammunition left after Russian aggression," Yenin said.

In addition, according to him, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry invites foreign fire brigades with their equipment to help eliminate the consequences of shelling by Russian aggressors in Ukrainian settlements.

According to the Ukrainian State Emergency Service, about 300,000 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory require humanitarian demining due to Russia's aggression.
