Russian invaders shell village in Zaporizhia region using phosphorus munitions

Russian occupiers have fired phosphorous bombs at the village of Novodanylivka in the Polohy district, Zaporizhia region.

Ivan Arefiev, spokesperson for the regional military administration, said this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"As a result of artillery shelling with phosphorus munitions in the village of Novodanylivka, Polohy district, the roof of a residential building on Khrustalkova Street caught fire. Units of the State Emergency Service in the Zaporizhia region eliminated the consequences of the fire. No one was injured," the statement said.

According to the statement, in the Polohy direction, the enemy is trying to hold the occupied territory, conducting air reconnaissance using unmanned aerial vehicles and firing at the Ukrainian military and local population from multiple rocket launchers.

The regional military administration added that today there is a high threat of the enemy using missile weapons against military and civilian infrastructure across the Zaporizhia region, as well as the possibility of Russian occupiers attempting to advance towards the city of Zaporizhia.
