Russian occupiers use white phosphorus munitions and thermobaric weapons near Kharkiv

During a battle for the village of Mala Rohan, Kharkiv Region, Russian occupiers used white phosphorus munitions and thermobaric weapons.

The relevant statement was made by the East Operational Tactical Unit of the National Guard of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Russian occupiers used white phosphorus munitions and thermobaric weapons during battles for Mala Rohan, Kharkiv Region. This is evidenced not only by Ukrainian servicemen, burnt land and destroyed buildings but also the enemy vehicles that have been captured. This evidence is extremely important for the future international tribunal over the aggressor state of Russia,” the report states.

The National Guard officers found thermobaric weapons and white phosphorus munities intended for the TOS-1A Solntsepyok system. Such weapons are prohibited from being used near settlements.

A reminder that the village of Mala Rohan was liberated from Russian invaders on March 25-27, 2022. More than 60 Russian occupiers were taken prisoner. Later it became known that over 20 civilian cars had been shot by them on a highway nearby.
