“As of April 1, 24 people were killed as a result of the enemy missile strike on the building of the Mykolayiv Regional State Administration and its subsequent destruction. Rescuers pulled 23 bodies from the rubble and another person died in hospital," the Mykolayiv regional department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

Rescue crews continue working around the clock.

As reported, at about 08:45 on March 29 in Mykolayiv, a Russian missile hit nine-story premises housing the Mykolayiv Regional State Administration and the Mykolayiv Regional Council. The central section from the 9th to the 1st floor was destroyed.

On February 24, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Since then, Russian troops have repeatedly violated the laws and customs of war by shelling civilians, including with prohibited weapons, and using civilians as "human shields."
