Vereshchuk: 1,665 people evacuated from Mariupol, towns of Zaporizhzhia region on March 29

On March 29, 1,665 people were evacuated from Mariupol and several towns in Zaporizhzhia region along the three agreed humanitarian corridors.

"Today [March 29], 1,665 people went to Zaporizhzhia by their vehicles along the three humanitarian corridors: 936 people went from Mariupol and 729 more from Zaporizhzhia region: Berdiansk, Melitopol, Enerhodar, Polohy, Orikhiv, Huliaypole, and Vasylivka," Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk posted on Facebook on the evening of March 29.

In the town of Vasylivka, the invaders were blocking columns of evacuation buses and trucks with humanitarian aid, which were sent to Berdiansk, Melitopol, and Enerhodar in the morning.

Moreover, the organized columns of people on private transport traveling on the route towards the city of Zaporizhzhia from Tokmak and Enerhodar were also blocked.

As reported, on March 29, the Mariupol Town Council stated that more than 75,000 Mariupol residents had already been evacuated to Zaporizhzhia.
