Russian shells hit 20 houses near Kherson, leaving six people wounded

Six people have been wounded and 20 houses have been damaged in shelling of Stepanivka near the city of Kherson by Russian invaders.

The relevant statement was made by Kherson City Council, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“On March 28, 2022, the village of Stepanivka came under fire. Six people were wounded. One person was taken to hospital; five people suffered shrapnel wounds,” the report states.

About 20 houses in the village were damaged and left with broken windows, destroyed walls and fences. Now the relevant commission is working to assess the compensation for the losses suffered according to the program endorsed by the city council.

In addition, a gas pipeline on Selianska Street was hit. The relevant information was submitted to Khersongaz JSC, and the emergency crew will start repair works as soon as possible.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile and air strikes on Ukrainian cities and villages, killing civilians.
