Invaders abduct 2 officials, 11 civilians in Chernihiv region

Russian invaders abducted two local government officials and eleven civilians in the temporarily occupied territories of Chernihiv region.

"Russian occupiers continue to terrorize civilians in the occupied territories. The abduction of two local government officials and 11 civilians has been confirmed," Vyacheslav Chaus, Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, posted on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

The authorities are fully functioning and normal life is maintained in the government-controlled districts of Chernihiv region, Chaus noted.

The military administration is in constant contact with the territorial communities.

As reported, on February 24, 2022, Putin's Russia launched a new phase of the war against Ukraine, massively shelling and bombing peaceful Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages.

The entire people of Ukraine rose up to fight against the invaders, and its Armed Forces and Territorial Defense Forces stopped the enemy's offensive and inflicted heavy losses on it.
