Russian troops twice fire on terminal at Kharkiv Airport

Last night Russian troops twice fired on a terminal at Kharkiv Airport with multiple rocket launcher systems.

The relevant statement was made by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Syniehubov on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Over the past day, Russian occupiers have launched 55 strikes. The extensive activity of Grad and Uragan systems was recorded – about 240 times. In the evening, the enemy twice shelled a terminal at Kharkiv Airport with multiple rocket launcher systems,” Syniehubov wrote.

In his words, the city of Derhachi suffered from enemy attacks, namely its civil infrastructure facilities, communications and hospital. The wounded were also reported.

Russian invaders continue to terrorize civilians within the temporarily occupied areas. In particular, Tsyrkuny United Territorial Community Head Mykola Sikalenko is being held hostage by Russian occupiers. He was abducted from his home on March 21, 2022.

The city of Kharkiv and Kharkiv Region continue to keep the defense. Ukrainian defenders destroyed a Russian group of the 59th Tank Regiment of the Western Military District, which was launching attacks towards Kharkiv. In addition, two enemy planes were downed near Izium. One missile was also destroyed by the anti-aircraft defense units defending the city of Kharkiv. In some areas, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are launching counterattacks.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile strikes on Ukrainian cities and villages, killing civilians.
