One ammonia tank damaged in shelling of Sumykhimprom plant

As a result of the shelling of the Sumykhimprom chemical plant, one ammonia tank was damaged.

An ammonia tank was damaged as a result of night shelling of the territory of PJSC "Sumykhimprom" chemical plant in Sumy city, northern Ukraine, the State Emergency Service posted on Telegram.

"As of 05:00 there was a slight ammonia leak. SES units are working to subside an ammonia cloud. There is no threat to the city's population," the statement reads.

No casualties have been reported so far.

Earlier, the village of Novoselytsia in Sumy region was reported to be under threat due to an ammonia leak at the Sumykhimprom chemical plant.
