Almost 800 Mariupol residents leave Berdiansk for Zaporizhzhia

Almost 800 Mariupol residents have left Berdiansk for Zaporizhzhia today.

Acting Berdiansk Mayor Oleksandr Svidlo said in a video address that was broadcast live on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"We managed to evacuate almost 800 people by 11 buses. To date, 3,300 people have been accommodated in Berdiansk, according to information of our call center, ie Mariupol residents who have earlier applied for accommodation. In addition, about 1,000 people have been accommodated with the help of city residents,” he wrote.

Svidlo added that for the needs of Mariupol residents, two humanitarian aid vehicles with food from Ukrainian farmers arrived in the city. Food products will be distributed among Mariupol residents tomorrow.
