Air Defense Forces destroy 16 Russian missiles and 197 drones

Air Defense Forces destroyed 15 Iskander-M/S-300 ballistic missiles, one Kh-59/69 missile, and 197 drones used by Russian invaders to attack Ukraine since the evening of February 11.

According to Ukrinform, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.

Starting at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 24 Iskander-M/S-300 ballistic missiles from the Bryansk, Voronezh, and Rostov regions and the temporarily occupied Crimea, with a Kh-59/69 guided air missile from the airspace of the temporarily occupied part of the Donetsk region, as well as 219 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of UCAVs from the following directions: Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo (Russian Federation), Hvardiiske (Crimea). About 150 drones were Shahed-type.

The primary targets of the strikes were Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Odesa.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, Air Defense Forces shot down/jammed 213 air targets:

  • 15 Iskander-M/S-300 ballistic missiles;
  • one Kh-59/69 guided air missile;
  • 197 drones.

Nine missiles and 19 UCAVs were recorded hitting 13 locations, and debris from downed drones fell on 14 locations.

The attack continues, with several enemy drones in the airspace.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of February 12, the Russians carried out a combined massive attack on Lozova in the Kharkiv region, using, according to preliminary data, ballistic missiles and Geran-2 combat drones. A man and a woman were killed. Six more people were injured.
