General Staff: Russian troops lose combat efficiency, involve reserves

Russian troops have lost their combat efficiency in some areas and put reserves into operation.

"Ukraine's defense forces repel and hold back the offensive operation of the Russian armed forces in all areas. In some of them, the occupying forces have lost their combat efficiency and involve reserves. In order to increase its combat capabilities, the enemy is moving divisions and military units to the borders of Ukraine from other strategic areas," the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

It is noted that the Republic of Belarus provides support to the aggressor in ensuring the supply of fuel and lubricants, the use of railway infrastructure and airfield network. Sabotage of military and civilian infrastructure facilities remains likely. The press service emphasizes that the Russian Federation does not abandon plans to encircle Kyiv, continuing the offensive operation in Polissya and Siversky areas. In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy advances on the populated localities of Izium, Petrivske, Hrushuvakha, as well as the cities of Sumy and Okhtyrka.

The enemy offensive also continues in Donetsk and Tavriysky areas. The enemy builds up grouping of troops in Mykolayiv direction.

In the Black Sea and Sea of Azov operational zones, the occupiers continue to isolate the area of hostilities. Naval groups of the Russian Navy are located in the areas of Cape Tarkhankut and Lake Donuzlav. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, in coordinated cooperation with other components of the security and defense sector of the state and the forces of national resistance, restrain the massive offensive of the occupying forces.

On February 24, president Putin announced the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops are shelling and destroying key infrastructure, massively hitting residential areas of Ukrainian towns and villages using artillery, multiple-launch rocket system, and ballistic missiles.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
