Actor, TV host Pasha Lee killed by Russian invaders while defending Irpin near Kyiv

During the battle with the Russian invaders in Irpin on the outskirts of Kyiv as the enemy is trying to advance toward the country’s capital, a famous TV host wth the Dom channel, film and dubbing actor Pavlo Lee (Pasha Lee) was killed.

He had enrolled to defend Ukraine on the first day of Russian invasion.

This was announced on Facebook by the head of the National Union of Journalists, Serhiy Tomilenko, Ukrinform reports.

To the inquiry of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, Yulia Ostrovska, head of the UATV / DOM Platform, has confirmed the report on the actor’s death. From the first days of war, he went to fight for Ukraine and now he died in Irpin, where fierce battles are ongoing with the Russian invaders," Tomilenko said.

He said that Pasha Lee was born in Crimea. The actor was also known for dubbing jobs for "The Lion King", "Malibu Rescuers," and "The Hobbit".

As Ostrovska noted, a new season has started on January 31 of a new entertainment show "Day at Home." She noted that Pasha was the happiest and “sunniest” of its six TV hosts.

The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine expressed its sincere condolences to the actor’s family and friends, Tomilenko added.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops have been killing civilians, shelling and destroying key infrastructure, and their missiles have been hitting Ukrainian households.

Ukraine has filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation with the UN International Criminal Court in The Hague.
