Denmark closes its airspace for Russian aircraft

Denmark will be closing its airspace for Russian aircraft.

“At today’s meeting of EU ministers of foreign affairs we will push for an EU-wide ban. Russia’s unprovoked, despicable attack on Ukraine must be met with strongest possible international sanctions and condemnation,” Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark Jeppe Kofod posted on Twitter.

As The Guardian report, Iceland and Italy have also announced similar measures today. Other countries, including Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany and Poland, already blocked their airspace for Russian aircraft.

As reported, the head of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin, announced the start of a special military operation in Donbas. At around 04:00, February 24, Russia attacked Ukraine and launched the war.

On the morning of February 24, the Verkhovna Rada approved President Zelensky's decree on the imposition of martial law throughout Ukraine.
