Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry urges Russia to release journalists Sushchenko, Semena

The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has demanded that the Russian Federation release illegally detained Ukrainian journalists Roman Sushchenko and Mykola Semena.

Spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Mariana Betsa wrote this on Twitter.

"#WorldPressFreedomDay2018 We demand that the Russian Federation release illegally detained journalists Roman Sushchenko and Mykola Semena, who are hostages to Russia's aggression," Betsa wrote.

She also notes that the Foreign Ministry urges the occupation authorities to stop suppression of press freedom in the occupied Crimea and Donbas.
