The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine believes in the release of Ukrinform correspondent Roman Sushchenko, who is illegally imprisoned in Russia.

Spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Mariana Betsa wrote this in congratulations on Sushchenko’s birthday on Twitter.

"Roman, we congratulate you on your birthday. We wish you fortitude. The walls will collapse. We believe in your liberation and fight for it," Betsa wrote.

Official representative of the Department of Consular Service of the Foreign Ministry Vasyl Kyrylych also joined the congratulation message.

As earlier reported, Ukrinform correspondent in France Roman Sushchenko in violation of international laws was arrested on September 30, 2016 in Moscow, where he arrived on a private visit. Today the Ukrinform journalist celebrates his second birthday behind bars.
