Ukrainian Liudmyla Luzan wins two golds in one day at ICF World Championships

Leader of Ukraine’s canoe and kayak team, Liudmyla Luzan, secured a “golden” double in a single day at the 2025 ICF World Championships in Milan.
Luzan won the women’s C1 (canoe single) 500m event with a time of 2 minutes 01.27 seconds, Ukrinform reports.
In the C2 (canoe double) event, Luzan and Irina Fedoriv became world champions for the second time, adding today’s 200m gold to their previous 500m victory.
The winning time for their crew was 41.87 seconds.
With these victories, Luzan’s collection now includes seven world championship gold medals, three of which she won at Milan 2025.
