Zelensky signs law resuming excise tax on fuel

On September 28, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed draft law No. 7668-d to resume the excise tax on fuel in Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, the relevant report was published on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

It is noted that the draft Law on Amendments to Chapter XX "Transitional Provisions" of the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding excise tax rates for the period of the legal regime of martial law, state of emergency" was signed by the President on September 28.

As Ukrinform reported, on March 18, a law came into force that temporarily canceled the excise tax on fuel and reduced the VAT rate from 20% to 7% for the period of martial law. On August 30, the Verkhovna Rada endorsed draft law No. 7668-d to resume the excise tax on fuel in Ukraine. On September 21, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law at second reading.
