Shakhtar lose to Sheriff in Champions League opener

Ukraine's Shakhtar Donetsk have lost to Moldova's Sheriff in the first round of the group stage of the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League.
Ukrainian Yuriy Vernydub's side beat Shakhtar 2-0 in Tiraspol on September 15, according to Ukrinform.
Goals were scored by Adama Traore (16) and Momo Yansane (62).
In another Group D match, Spain's Real Madrid defeated Italy's Inter 1-0 at Giuseppe Meazza in Milan.
Shakhtar will play their next match against Inter at the Olimpiysky National Sports Complex in Kyiv on September 28. Sheriff will take on Real Madrid in Spain.
