Former Shakhtar Donetsk coach Lucescu takes charge at Dynamo Kyiv

Romanian football coach Mircea Lucescu, 74, has become the head coach of Dynamo Kyiv, the Ukrainian club's press service has reported.

Between 2004 and 2016, he served as head coach at Shakhtar Donetsk, winning the UEFA Cup. In total, the Romanian coach won 22 trophies with the club. Shakhtar Donetsk became Ukrainian champions eight times under his management.

In February 2019, Lucescu was dismissed as head coach of the Turkish national football team.

Oleksiy Mykhailychenko, who took the helm of Dynamo Kyiv in August 2019, was dismissed on July 20.
