IBF lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez has said that the fight with Ukrainian boxer Vasyl Lomachenko, which has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, will not take place, according to Boxingnews24.com.

"The unbeaten IBF lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez (15-0, 12 KOs) revealed on social media tonight that he won't be facing WBA/WBC/WBO champion Vasyl Lomachenko (14-1, 10 KOs) next. The travel ban that the United States has in place is preventing the 32-year-old Lomachenko from coming over to face Teofimo," the report reads.

The Lomachenko-Lopez fight, scheduled for May 30 in New York, was earlier postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. At stake was the status of undisputed world lightweight champion. The Ukrainian has WBA, WBO and WBC belts, and the Honduran-American holds the IBF title.

Earlier, Lopez said he did not intend to fight with Lomachenko without spectators. According to the 22-year-old, he competes in the ring for the fans.
