Shakhtar Donetsk earns EUR 44.2 mln in this season's Champions League

FC Shakhtar Donetsk has earned EUR 44.2 million for participation in the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League, according to sports news site ua.tribuna.com.
The Ukrainian club received EUR 15.25 million from UEFA for participation in the group stage and EUR 5.7 million as a performance bonus (EUR 2.7 million for one win, EUR 2.7 million for three draws, and EUR 300,000 for two losses).
Shakhtar Donetsk also received EUR 23.3 million for its position in the UEFA coefficient table.
Shakhtar Donetsk failed to win through to the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League. In the final round of the group stage, the Ukrainian club lost 0-3 to Italy's Atalanta in Kharkiv.
On February 20 and 27, Luis Castro's side will face Portugal's Benfica in the Europa League Round of 32. The Ukrainian club will play the first match at home.
