Yevhen Oleksenko wins silver in powerlifting at Invictus Games

Member Ukraine’s Invictus Games team Yevhen Oleksenko has won a silver medal in powerlifting.

"October 24, a veteran of the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine, a member of Ukraine’s Invictus Games team Yevhen Oleksenko has won a silver medal in powerlifting," the press service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine reports.

As noted, Yevhen Oleksenko took part in the battles for the Donetsk Airport, near Pisky, Opytne and Vodiane in Donetsk region (2015-2016).

As reported, Ukrainian swimmers have already won six medals at the Invictus Games in Sydney.

The athletes from 18 countries take part in the Invictus Games 2018 in Sydney on October 20-27.

The Invictus Games is the only international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, created by Britain's Prince Harry.
