Vitaliy Lukyanenko brings sixth ‘gold’ for Ukraine in PyeongChang

Vitaliy Lukyanenko won the sixth gold medal for Ukraine at the XII Paralympic Winter Games 2018 in PyeongChang.

Lukyanenko came first in the 15 km biathlon race among visually impaired athletes, Ukrinform reports.

Ukraine’s Oleksandr Kazik took silver in the same discipline.

For Lukyanenko, it is the sixth gold medal in PyeongChang. In total, he has won 11 Paralympic medals.

The 2018 Winter Paralympics will be held until March 18.

In general, Ukraine's national team has already won 19 medals – six gold, six silver and seven bronze medals.
