President congratulates Kharlan on birthday

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has congratulated Olympic champion, fencer Olha Kharlan on her birthday.
The head of state posted a letter of congratulations on his Facebook page.
"Today Olha Kharlan is celebrating her birthday - our star fencer, an Olympic champion, a multiple world and European champion. Sincere congratulations to you, Olha. Thank you for glorifying Ukraine to the whole world!" Poroshenko wrote.
Kharlan was born in Mykolaiv on September 4, 1990. She holds a bronze medal from both the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 2012 Summer Olympics and is a three-time World champion (2013, 2014 and 2017) and five-time European champion. She was Olympic team champion in the 2008 Summer Olympics, twice World team champion (2009 and 2013) and twice European team champion.
