Ukraine wins first gold medal at World Universiade 2017

Biathlete Nadiya Belkina has won the first gold medal for the Ukrainian national team at the XXVIII Winter Universiade held in Almaty (Kazakhstan).

Belkina won the 10km race with four shooting bouts in women’s pursuit on Friday, Ukrinform reports.

As of now, Ukrainian team won one gold medal, two silver medals, and three bronze medals.

World Universiade 2017 will be held until February 8.
