Ukrainian Olympic Center starts working in Rio

Chief of the Ukrainian mission, Olympic medalist Nina Umanets, members of the Center staff Olympic medalist Olena Tsyhytsya and representative of the International Department of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Alla Tarasyuk arrived in Brazil, the press service of the NOC told Ukrinform.

"According to Nina Umanets, Rio de Janeiro greeted them with cool weather. Ukrainian Center has successfully passed pre-sports application, it confirmed participation of 205 Ukrainian athletes in the Olympic Games 2016," the press-service has noted.

Among the priorities of Center staff - inspection of the premises for housing the Ukrainian team in the Olympic Village and organizing of volunteers’ work and solving other organizational issues related to the arrival and stay of the Ukrainian Olympic team.
