Andriy Shevchenko: our chances will become clearer after match with Germany on Sunday

Shevchenko believes that the situation regarding the chances of our team to progress in the tournament will become more evident after Ukraine’s first match of the championship against Germany on June 12, Xsport.ua site reports.

"Our chances will become clearer after the first game against Germany. Friendlies provide only a relative picture of readiness because rivals do not play against you as if in a "real" game. But everything will be clear, and exactly only in the last round of the group stage. Formula of the Championship is that it permits a team to advance to the next stage with having even 3 points,"  said the best scorer in the history of the national team of Ukraine.

He also pointed out that our team arrived in France "not too late, but just on time."

"I think we arrived on time. We have Tuesday as the day of transfer, and then still have four full days for targeted training for the Germany game. That is quite enough. Moreover, we have already laid the foundation in Italy and Switzerland, and the only factor that distinguishes these countries from France perhaps is only the weather. It is  much hotter here now," noted Shevchenko.
