NOC sends 23 Ukrainian athletes to Lillehammer Winter Games

The Winter Youth Olympic Games will be held February 12-21, 2016 in Lillehammer, Norway. A total of 23 athletes will represent Ukraine at the sports event, the press service of the National Olympic Committee(NOC) told Ukrinform.

“Our country at the Youth Olympic Games will be represented by 23 participants, who will compete in nine kinds of sports - biathlon, Nordic combination, figure skating, tobogganing, ski jumping, cross-country skiing, Alpine skiing, snowboarding and skeleton,” the committee’s press service reports.

A total of 1,100 athletes from 71 Nations will compete in Lillehammer in 70 events across 15 winter sports.
