Oleksandr Usyk among top five international prospects – BoxNation

British BoxNation TV channel has revealed its top five most promising boxers, led by Ukrainian heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk.

Other four international prospects are Mexicans Gilberto Ramirez and Oscar Valdez, U.S. boxer Errol Spence Jr., and Felix Verdejo from Puerto Rico.

In December, Usyk defeated Cuban-born boxer Pedro Rodriguez. Oleksandr Usyk has already fought over 300 fights, but only nine professional bouts, sending all of his opponents to the canvas.

The ESPN’s top twenty most promising boxers ranking includes four Ukrainians: Usyk ranks fourth, Serhiy Derevianchenko – eighth, Oleksandr Hvozdyk – ninth, Yevhen Khitrov – eleventh.
