Ministry of Regional Development elaborates new standards ensuring conditions for inclusive education

The Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine develops new constructions standards for educational establishments so that to create needed conditions for inclusive education for children with special needs in Ukraine. 

Deputy Minister of Regional Development Lev Partzhaladze stated this following a meeting of the special group on bringing the Ukrainian constructions standards in line with the international ones, the ministry’s press service reports.

“The existing constructions standards have not been significantly revised in last nineteen years, only some amendments have been introduced several times. Their update is very important nowadays, and a new draft of the State Construction Standards of Ukraine "Buildings and Structures of Educational Establishments", which is being developed by the Ministry of Regional Development, will take into account modern requirements for educational establishment and will create needed conditions for inclusive education,” he said.
