The White House hinted to the film studio Amazon MGM Studios that U.S. President Donald Trump could be suitable for the role of James Bond.

The White House posted an image of the American leader as Agent 007 on the social media platform X, according to Ukrinform.

The black-and-white image shows Trump's silhouette holding a pistol, alongside the phrases "Make America Great Again" and "007."

At the same time, the publication Variety noted that James Bond works for Britain's foreign intelligence service MI6, which rules out the possibility of the 79-year-old Trump "getting the job."

Users on social media responded to the White House post by sharing mocking memes about Trump.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, a few days ago Amazon MGM Studios confirmed that it had begun searching for an actor to play the next James Bond.

Earlier, Trump posted an image of himself dressed as the Pope on his own social media platform, Truth Social.
